Our Liberator: St. Joseph and the Priests of Dachau | Documentary
Dachau was the first concentration camp built by the Nazis, and 2579 Catholic priests were registered as prisoners there. But the greatest miracle of the 20th century came from this camp through the powerful intercession of St. Joseph. The Catholic priests who were held captive at Dachau knew they would not leave the camp alive and, therefore, unanimously decided to begin a novena entrusting their safety to St. Joseph of Kalisz, Poland, and make a pilgrimage of thanksgiving once they were released. Little did they know that on the same day they started the novena, the Nazi official signed an order for the execution of all Dachau prisoners. Miraculously, Dachau was liberated just hours before the order was carried out.
